When you awaken you realize there's a spiritual side to your existence on this earth and that there is a Higher Power at work(GOD). When you are reborn you start to walk the path of divine providence. You are reborn to the spiritual path. This “awakening” is known as the Rebirth since the old life is left behind and the new one begins. It is not as if some new ideas are added to the existing; it's a complete death with the old you and the beginning of the new you.
